Who we are
Our Roads Our Voice is a community action group representing residents of Broom Road and Wickersley Road in Rotherham. We are not a registered company or charity.

What information we collect and why
1. Petition signatures
When you sign our petition, we collect:
- Your first name and surname
- Your home, work, or study address including postcode
- Your email address
We collect this information solely to support a formal petition submission to Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council (RMBC) on behalf of residents affected by proposed road changes in our area.
2. Comments
When visitors leave comments on our website, we collect the data shown in the comments form — your name, email address, and the comment itself. We also collect your IP address and browser user agent to help us detect and prevent spam.
An anonymised string created from your email address may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you have a profile picture. The Gravatar privacy policy is available at gravatar.com/privacy. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture becomes visible alongside your comment.
3. Media
We may introduce the ability for visitors to upload images or files to this website in the future. If we do, we will update this notice accordingly. We recommend that visitors avoid uploading images that contain embedded location data (known as EXIF GPS data), as other visitors to the website may be able to extract this information.

Your petition details will only be shared with:
- Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council — as part of a formal petition submission
We will never sell, rent, or pass your details to any other organisation, business, or individual unless required to do so by law.

How we store your information
Your details are stored securely in a password-protected database. Access is restricted to authorised members of the Our Roads Our Voice organising team only.

- Correct any information that is inaccurate
- Delete your information at any time
- Withdraw your consent to us holding your data at any time
- Object to us processing your data
- Request that we restrict how we process your data
- Request a portable copy of your data

Withdrawing your consent
You can withdraw your consent and ask us to remove your details at any time by emailing info@ourroadsourvoice.org. Please include your full name and postcode so we can locate your record.
If you withdraw your consent before we have submitted the petition to RMBC, your details will not be included in the submission.
